THE KOGI ELDERS @ PAUA Paris 2023 INDIGENOUS TRIBE LEADERS | Luciano Mascote Conchacala (Traditional Kogi Authority) & Arregoces Coronado Zarabata (Translator, School director, Leader) The Kogi are an indigenous group that resides isolated in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountains in northern Colombia, and do not receive groups or hold tours or ceremonies for outsiders. Their traditions inspire us to culturally anchor and truly implement regenerative thinking and action on an individual, social and ecological level. Their perspectives form the basis for future fitness and a life-supporting society. Their “medicine” is their “word” and they decided to break their silence and isolation to deliver a strong message to protect the planet at PAUA Paris. “It is your job to work with technology. But it should work like nature itself, not against it.” -Mama Bernardo Mascote Zarabata PAUA Community is dedicated to supporting indigenous communities to preserve, reclaim and regenerate their lands and heritage. This year we partnered with a non-profit, Planet Buyback, to assist us in creating a transparent fund where we could direct our friends to helping the Kogi buy back their ancestral lands that have been unfairly taken due to encroachment and exploitation. Let’s stand in solidarity with them, supporting indigenous rights and environmental conservation! DONATE HERE – https://planetbuyback.com/product/buy…
